Knox Presbyterian Church

We have had two successful groups through the Knox SPACE (Connecting new parents and their babies with others as they explore parenting and their child’s development in the first year) programme (three terms with each group). All we need now to start our next group in Term 1 2019 is a Group Assistant to help our new programme leader.
If you are available either Mon, Wed or Thurs, 12:30-2:30pm we would love to hear from you! (Day to be confirmed to suit schedule of new leaders.) No preparation for group is necessary.
The programme includes music, discussion topics, and crafts/activities with the babies. Details can be found at https://www.space.org.nz.

Welcome to our year 6’s who will be joining us at Seismic. If you all had fun at Kids Explore you are NOT going to want to leave Seismic – trust me, okay not me but Jesus – Seismic is next level youth ministry.

Graham Tennent and Derek will tag team this term which basically means we are offering your child an action packed 1.5 hours every Sunday and we’ll try and feed them with ice cream sandwiches or lollies but mostly to seek Jesus above all else. if you have any complaints then email leightennent@gmail.com

Seriously, this term we’ll flow from the “Reset” curriculum from term 3. Using our bibles to discuss our identity in Jesus and how my faith and life mix with family and school even when they appear to SUCK…below is a picture of us pointing you to Jesus

If you are aware of someone in the parish needing care and support please email or phone the Knox office so that we can advise the appropriate small group leader, pastoral carer or elder.
To help each of us to be a caring and supportive part of our church family, we have several church resources available  to be offered to someone else or for yourself. This Knox Care Resource list includes people to pray with, visitors (elders and minister), small groups to join, helping hands for tricky home jobs, communion served at home, and prepared meals.
The Knox office will link you in with these forms of support when you contact them.

Small groups are a great place to grow in faith, chew over tricky things together, encourage each other and build friendships.  Some groups are   following a Bible study, others meet to pray, some chat over a cuppa, all are different depending on the way God has gifted the small group facilitator.

Check out the back wall in the church foyer and feel free to contact the small group leaders, they will be happy to help you.
