Rev. Marcell Mey

Minister at Knox

I wIMG_0195 (2)as called to serve as the minister of Knox Presbyterian Church at the end of 2016.  Born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, I consider myself fortunate to be from a Christian household.  My theological studies commenced from 2004 to 2009 after which I was called to serve at my first congregation in Cape Town, South Africa.  During this six and a half year period, 2013 rates as a highlight; this is the year that I married Ilze and furthered my studies.

It is a privilege to serve at Knox and it is my belief that we should strive to be disciples of Jesus Christ that live under the active guidance of the Holy Spirit.  As the body of Christ we should inspire and equip one another to proclaim the gospel, through word and deed, in our daily lives.

Sian Scannell

KCLM Ministry Intern

I am in my second year of ministry internship through Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership (KCML.) My first year was with Tawa Union Church. I finished my Bachelor of Theology through Otago University in 2017, which I accomplished via distance learning while working part time and raising a family with my husband. We have lived in Upper Hutt for the last 20 years, previously attending St Margaret’s Silverstream.

I look forward to learning and journeying with Knox, as we discover together what God has in store for our own life and the life of this community.

Caleb Dominikovich

Youth Intern

Caleb joined the team January 2019.

After having a season overseas experiencing God’s grace and love, I have been called back to Knox to support the youth ministry. I see this as a great way to thank the Lord for all the blessings in my life and also to give back to the ministry which has invested so much in me. I am so excited about being a part of Seismic and Acts 29 and I can’t wait to grow closer to God and the youth over this next year.
